Satsang is true company.
Satsang occurs when people come together to celebrate life, share devotion, inspiration and communicate from their hearts on subjects that are true and meaningful to the soul.
Most of the time when people gather to speak or engage in conversation the communication is speech or sermon, utilitarian or small talk, gossip or politisms.
Satsang is the company of people who live with truth in their hearts and speak from their hearts to inspire and uplift each other with love.
Satsang is the sharing of words with meaning and purpose; words of wisdom, words that nurture soul and spirit, words that heal and engender love, words that enthuse and encourage others on their spiritual path and in their personal growth.
Prema Satsang
Prema Satsang is the devotional love put into Satsang and the devotional love experienced from setting up and giving Satsang.
Giving and receiving Satsang uplifts and inspires, opening the heart and mind to receive grace and gifts of Spirit. The more care we take in preparing and participating in Satsang the more our hearts and minds will be open to receive. The mind is a dualistic gift of Life being both creative and destructive.
People have internal imaginings and external influences that can engender fear. Satsang brings balance and peace to the mind by directing it to positive ideals that engender love. The more love we put into Satsang the stronger this positive influence on the mind.
Prema Satsang is in the joy of making the Satsang room a real pleasure for people to enter. Prema Satsang is in the exhilaration of allowing inspiring Satsang to flow from our lips. Prema Satsang could be experienced in kirtan or a song, something we read, a scripture or inspired poetry, a guided meditation or toning.
Satsang is Natural
Satsang is natural when people gather and allow Truth to replace trivia, meaningful conversation to replace gossip and mediocrity.
Satsang is natural when words of inspiration and wisdom are communicated. Satsang is natural when we share words that heal rather than words that harm.
Satsang happens naturally when after dinner the topic shifts to a subject that really strikes a chord, when people hang on entranced, forgetting television and other diversions. Satsang happens naturally when we allow it. |
